A recent trend I've noticed on the runway and various shopping outlets are the Crop Tops. This basic simple wardrobe item screams SUMMMMERRRR!! There is nothing wrong with showing a little skin, you can show off one even if you don't have the perfectly toned stomach muscles. Make sure not to go overboard with showing the skin. A little is always good.

The crop tops come in various different forms and material- floral, striped, plain or lace ( I personally love the lace ones). There are the fitted ones, the boxy-loose ones and the sporty ones. They look amazing when paired with high waisted shorts/skirts/pants, tailored bottoms or full skirts to give a tease by showing some skin. In 2012, this look was sported with tailored high waisted narrow and straight bottoms.
In 2013, the trend has shifted to a more boxy look, where the top isn't too fitted to your body. Your look will look complete if worn with a fitted skirt. Then there is the sport one that was more inspired by sports bras. Worn on its own or under your main piece as a boob tube, this item looks classy. Finally, there is the fitted one that looks extremely sexy with denim, shorts or tailored pants and skirts.
